Ant and Dec hit Golden Buzzer for ‘epic’ magician and fans are speechless

There was an emotionally-uplifting moment on Britain’s Got Talent tonight, as Ant and Dec hit the ‘Golden Buzzer’ for ‘epic’ magician Keiichi Iwasaki.

Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon returned to the judging panel, as the show finally comes back to our screens after being postponed in 2021.

Golden Buzzer winner Keiichi stunned crowds as he levitated a ring onto a shocked Alesha’s finger.

The act earned him four big yes’ from the judges, but emotions were high when presenters Ant and Dec stormed the stage to push the Golden Buzzer, which will take Keiichi straight to the semi-finals of the show.

Someone else tweeted: “That’s what you call variety, great golden buzzer choice.”

Another fan wrote: “Finally a golden buzzer I actually like on Britain’s Got Talent”

In his Golden Buzzer winning audition, Keiichi started off with smaller tricks and appeared at first to be a bit of a joke audition.

He built up momentum by retrieving a card from underneath Dec’s armpit, before appearing to make another card spin around constantly in mid-air by itself.

He then appeared to make a £20 note fold itself over numerous times without physically doing it.

His final act cinched him the buzzer, as he appeared to levitate a gold ring in mid air, cajoling it to travel over to finally land on Alesha Keys’ outstretched finger.

The trick rendered the judges and the audience speechless and open-mouthed for a moment, before everyone jumped to their feet, cheering and clapping for him.

It comes after it has emerged that the Japanese magician has also auditioned for the show in other countries including Italy in 2016, Bulgaria in 2021 and Spain in 2019 where he made it to the semi-finals.

Other acts to get the coveted Golden Buzzer include singer Loren Allred and comedian Axel Blake.

Fans of the show aren’t happy though, as both of those acts are already professionals, with Loren Allred having sung on The Greatest Showman, and Axel Blake has his own comedy show on Amazon Prime.
