Kylie Jenner recently shocked fans by announcing that she and Travis Scott have decided to change the name of their new baby son, formerly known as Wolf, after welcoming him in February 2022.
The makeup mogul, 24, revealed that the name just “really didn’t feel like it was him”, but is yet to announce what his new permanent moniker will be.
While Kylie’s U-turn surprised many, it turns out she’s not the first famous face to go back on their decision after naming their baby.
She joins the likes of Amy Schumer, Jessie Cave, and Grimes, who have all had a change of heart about their baby names.

Kylie Jenner & Travis Scott
Twenty four year old Kylie welcomed her second child with her rapper beau Travis Scott, 30, on 2 February 2022, and introduced him to the world with a sweet snap on Instagram.
She then revealed that her baby son’s name to be Wolf Jacques Webster. The unique moniker pays tribute to Travis, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II.
The couple, who also share four-year-old daughter Stormi, then decided that Wolf just wasn’t the right fit for their baby boy – over a month after welcoming him.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kylie wrote: “FYI our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore. We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”
The couple also did the same after welcoming Stormi in 2018, with the youngster’s original name being spelt Stormie.
Previously speaking to make-up guru James Charles, Kylie explained: “It was always Stormie with an “ie”. I bought custom things for her that said her name, “ie”.
‘”I bought her the blocks, “ie”. I didn’t fully choose her name, I wanted to have a week of just me and her to see if I wanted to change it.
“I had one other name in mind, but Stormi always felt like her name from when she was in the womb. It’s almost like she chose her name.”
Amy Schumer welcomed her first child with husband Chris Fischer in May 2019, and the pair introduced their son to the world as Gene Attell.
The comedian, 40, chose Attell as Gene’s middle name to pay tribute to her close friend and fellow comedian Dave Attell.
However, Amy’s sweet gesture backfired, when she realised that her son’s moniker sounded fairly similar to the word ‘genital’.
Eleven months after welcoming Gene, Amy took the plunge and changed his middle name to David.
Speaking on the 3 Girls, 1 Keith podcast, Amy explained: “My mum pointed that out to me actually. My mum was like, “Amy‘s called her son genital”.
“And I was like, “What are you talking about?” And then, she was right.”
Harry Potter star Jessie Cave welcomed her third child with partner Alfie Brown back in October 2020.
The actress, 34, and her comedian beau, 34, announced that their baby son was named Abraham ‘Bam’ Benjamin, but later down the line decided it wasn’t the right title for the tot.
Ten months later, she revealed that they’d changed Abraham’s name to Tennessee, also known as Tenn.
Grimes & Elon Musk
Musician Grimes and SpaceX founder Elon Musk welcomed their first child together back in May 2021, and the on/off pair immediately went viral thanks to the unusual name they’d chosen for their newborn son.
The couple announced that they’d named their son X Æ A-12 – which left many wondering how to pronounce it.
Shortly after, Grimes and Elon revealed that they’d made some tweaks to his name, and wanted him to now be known as X Æ A-Xii – pronounced X Ash Archangel.
The name change was necessarily a choice however, but more so down to Californian law which doesn’t allow people to register names that include numbers.
Caterina Scorsone & Rob Giles
Grey’s Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone welcomed her third child with husband Rob Giles in 2020.
The couple named their baby daughter Arwen Lucinda Giles, but four months later they decided it wasn’t quite right.
Taking to Instagram, Caterina announced that they had changed their daughter’s name to Lucinda. She wrote: “By the way, we went with what was her middle name. Lucinda. “Lucky” for short.”
