Emmerdale fans baffled over Belle’s mobile blunder after getting stuck in woods

Emmerdale fans were left baffled on Thursday’s episode as Belle Dingle made a blunder after accidentally getting stuck in the woods with an injured Kyle.

During the latest instalment, Ellis invited Belle on a day out with Kyle to the forest but just as they got set up he received a call from ex Priya Sharma.

Once Ellis had abandoned the pair, Kyle twisted his ankle and Belle decided that they should head home so that it can be checked.

However, Belle quickly realised that it was going to be more difficult than she thought as she had given her car keys to Ellis.

As Belle attempted to come up with a plan, Kyle struggled with the freezing temperatures outside, so Belle resorted to smashing her car window so he can take shelter inside.

And things went from bad to worse when Belle realised that her phone was extremely low on battery as she attempted to ring Ellis to which his father, Al Chapman, silenced the call without realising she was in danger.

As the cold set in and she shivered uncontrollably, Belle left another voicemail on Ellis’ phone and just as she was about to ring Cain Dingle, her device suddenly died.

Huddled together in her open car, the pair try to fight the cold, but it’s not long before they appear unconscious and pale, with the weather taking effect in upcoming scenes.

However, soap watchers were left frustrated during the scenes as they questioned why Belle didn’t text for help and call for emergency services.

One person said: “#Emmerdale why would Belle not be dialling 999 in that situation if she has signal?!”

A different account put: “Why didn’t Belle just send a text to multiple people telling them what’s up and where she is, if her battery’s running out #Emmerdale.”

Another follower commented: “Surely belle could have rang someone else 999 even #Emmerdale.”

A different soap watcher questioned: “Why is belle leaving voicemails instead of calling other people??? or even 999 tbh??? #emmerdale.”

While another viewer added: “It doesn’t make sense. Why didn’t Belle think of phoning someone else when she couldn’t get hold of Ellis? #emmerdale.”
