After months of waiting for justice for Meena Jutla’s menacing crimes, Emmerdale viewers tuned in to see the serial killer put behind bars for good this week.
In a dramatic trial, which included Carol Butler attacking Meena (Paige Sandhu) after she taunted her about her sister Natalie’s death, the jury found Meena guilty of her crimes.
Next week, the village will deal with the aftermath of Meena’s shocking trial as the news of her actions make it into the local papers.
Everyone will be talking about Meena being put behind bars – but can the families of her victims finally move on?

Liam (Johnny McPherson) is struggling to deal with the death of his sister, Leanna, especially after Meena accused him of killing her himself. Meanwhile, Meena is thrilled that she’s made the newspapers again.
Elsewhere, Rhona (Zoe Henry) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) are still coming to terms with Marlon’s stroke, as he continues to stay in hospital and be assessed by his consultants.
In a meeting next week, the couple will hopefully find out when Marlon can return home, as while his stroke recovery is going well, he’s disappointed to have stayed there for so long.
Rhona will also continue to battle with her mother, as Mary (Louise Jameson) raises her concerns about her becoming a full-time carer for Marlon.
Rhona discovers Mary in the pub spending time with Faith and is irritated by their lack of responsibilities. Mary then hits back and suggests she should leave Marlon.
Rhona is understandably disgusted by her mother’s outrageous suggestion, as even though it is taking a toll on herself and their kids, she wants to be there for Marlon. Instead, she throws her mum out.
