Gemma Collins says Rami ‘might not get sight back’ after horror incident

Gemma Collins has shared how her fiancé Rami Hawash may not get his sight completely back after suffering from a horrific eye injury.

The star, 41, revealed earlier this month that Rami had been involved in a serious accident at work that left his eye badly damaged and in need of surgery as she posted a selfie with him where he also displayed a deep cut on his nose bridge.

She’s since revealed that Rami is on the mend, however doctors aren’t completely sure yet what the extent of the injury will be.

Gemma says Rami has been left in “excruciating” pain after an emergency operation as she spoke of how she has been caring for him in-between being on stage in the musical Chicago.

“We hope that he’s going to get the sight back in his eye, but I did reassure him that if he went blind or if he was going to lose his eye, that I’m still going to be with him because you don’t think about all those things,” she told Metro.

“As a man, he’s a good-looking man and he’s had a shocking accident and we still don’t know if he’s going to gain full sight in his eye, plus the eye has dropped down so it’s changed aesthetically.

“But I said don’t worry, I love him with an eye, without an eye, whether or not he gets his sight back. So there’s been a lot going on emotionally as well, but we make sure to support one another.”

Last week, the star shared a couple of photos of the injury up close as she told followers she’d had a “bad week” of sleepless nights stressing over her partner since he returned home.

In the pictures Gemma posted on Instagram Stories, Rami is seen barely able to keep his injured eye open with it appearing severely bruised, bloodied and swollen.

“It’s been one hell of a week,” the TOWIE star captioned.

“Good to have Rami home today. It’s been a very upsetting time for us, scary worring, no sleep. Please God he will be ok.”

The extent of the swelling in Rami’s eye could be seen more clearly in the second photo shared taken of his side profile, as Gemma thanked Queen’s Hospital for looking after him.

“Get well soon!” She added in good will to her fiancé.
