Jennifer Metcalfe has candidly opened up on co-parenting her son Daye with her ex Greg Lake and how she plans to have more children.
Hollyoaks actress Jennifer, 38, ended her eight year relationship with Greg in 2020.
Announcing the news in August 2020, Jennifer wrote on her Instagram page: “Greg and I decided to part ways amicably a couple months ago.
“We remain friends and we both will continue to happily co parent Daye and would appreciate privacy during these times.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us before, during and after this.”

Actress Jennifer, who plays Mercedes McQueen in Hollyoaks, has remained tight-lipped about her dynamic with ex Greg, but has now revealed they continue to remain a family of three.
She told Fabulous Magazine: “We made a decision from the start that we wanted this to be good for Daye.
“There was no bad energy [at the end] and I don’t even like using the phrase ‘split up’. We’ll never be split, we’re a family and always will be. I never want us to feel split, for Daye, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure of that.
“It was a case of: ‘This is us now and how do we make this gear change and not have Daye feel it?'”
Jennifer explained how the pair have put their son’s interests first.
“I’ve always loved Greg as a friend and we get on well,” the actress said. “So there was no reason for any of that to change. It’s all for Daye, but Greg is a good man.
“Obviously it’s had its ups and downs, but I think when you have two good people who want to do the best for their child, there’s no reason for it not to be just that.
“I’m really proud of how we both parent and put Daye’s interests first.”

Jennifer is single after her split from footballer Chris Eagles last September and doesn’t plan on starting a new romance anytime soon.
She said: “I love being independent and able to take care of my own s**t! Somebody asked me the other day if I was seeing anyone, and I said I was single. They looked at me with a little bit of pity! But right now, there’s no place I’d rather be.”
But, Jennifer did revealed she wants more children someday as she said: “As long as my parts are still working, I wouldn’t rule it out at 50! I’ve actually always been very keen on adoption and I’d do that as a single parent.”
