Sophie posted a selection of different colours to her Instagram Story recently, named Mushroom Paint Colours, telling her followers: “Lots of questions asking my chosen colour scheme for the new house so…
“The one word I’m using to describe it is mushroom. There will be a mixture of all these colours throughout.”
The mum of two then shared a second snap showcasing her plans for her spacious utility room, and she posted a mood board with a series of interior inspiration photographs on.
The star looks to be opting for neutral colour palette throughout the home, and it’s clear she has a distinct interior style.
After reviewing the trends from the mood boards, Lizzie commented: “It’s clear that Mrs Hinch is a leader in trends. She’s captured the current move towards a warm, neutral palette. These comforting tones enrich any environment and provide the perfect canvas for stronger colours and patterns.
“Her choice of matt stone, classic shaker cabinetry, washed timber and matt black handles all pull from classic Scandinavian styling. Perfect for a utility room, where you want to enhance the scent of freshly washed laundry with warmth and comfort.|
She added: “Experts at creating cosiness in their homes, the Scandinavians understand the balance of room. Mrs Hinch has taken this design principle and beautifully balanced hidden storage and function with open display shelving and cabinets, finishing it off with the key feature of a utility, the Belfast sink.
“Colour has been at the forefront of Mrs Hinch’s inspiration. This is no surprise as Colour is currently the big trend in the UK marketplace. From dark matt greens to pastel pinks, aqua blues and neutral pebble, it’s all about choosing the colour that works for you. Colour has not just permeated the furniture though; handles, worksurfaces and appliances are all now available in exciting finish options.”
Sophie has already got to work on her dream utility room, having recently revealed that she’s had a wall knocked down the expand the room.
Calling it ‘project utility’, she recently took to Instagram to set out her plans as she gushed over the pantry.
The mum of two’s interior plans for Hinch Farm look to be differing greatly from her previous family abode, which has became famous thanks to her Instagram posts.
Her iconic home featured a grey and white colour scheme throughout, and was littered with crushed velvet furniture and silver decor.
One room which looks set to definitely be different in Sophie’s new farmhouse is her family kitchen.
Speaking about what we could expect to see, Lizzie said: “The space in her new home opens up many design advantages, size and light being the most notable. Her new kitchen is a perfect space for a statement central island, a run of tower appliance units and a large range cooker, all balanced with an elegant bank of glazed dresser-style storage.
“Whether she chooses a classic shaker style or a modern minimal look, it’ll be all about the colour and material palette used in such a large room. The kitchen needs to anchor the space, allowing the rest of the room to flow. It’s an exciting project!”
There’s no doubt Sophie will be looking forward to getting to work on the new home, and she appears to have a lot planned.
Speaking about Sophie’s eye for interior design and ability to create the perfect kitchen, Lizzie also added: “Mrs Hinch’s kitchen styles have always embodied style, symmetry and function. She understands how to work with a compact space by using neutral colours, balanced planning, integrated appliances and seamless worksurfaces.
“Plus, she always adds flourishes of her personal style in elements like her chrome handles and statement pendant lighting.”
We can’t wait to see what Sophie creates!
