While Thanksgiving is about eating delicious food, connecting with family members, being grateful for all of the awesome parts of life, and, for many of us, getting (responsibly) hammered, the following two “holidays”—Black Friday and Cyber Monday—are all about getting the best deals, discounts, and dumb-good savings on toys, electronics, and everything else you need to check off all the boxes on your holiday shopping list.
Black Friday is November 26 this year, and Cyber Monday is November 29, which means you still have some time to gird your virtual loins and prep for two of the biggest shopping holidays of 2021. That being said, it’s not a bad idea to get an early start on your holiday shopping this year, since global supply chain issues could (and likely will) seriously affect your ability to get pretty much anything you buy online—including gifts—this year. That’s why you’ve probably seen lots of early Black Friday 2021 deals and early Cyber Monday 2021 deals.
Wondering what to expect from early Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals in 2021? We scoured the dirty depths of the web to bring you a mélange of some of the best early promos we could find, from great deals on tech and electronics to huge savings on home workout gear and patio staples. Happy shopping.
The Best Black Friday Deals on Tech and Electronics
Tech and electronics are Black Friday staples. Like, did you even have an American childhood if you didn’t watch two grown men have a fist fight over a slightly discounted television at the mall? If you’re looking for the best Black Friday tech deals in 2021, you’ve come to the right place: A bunch of our favorite electronics retailers will be dishing out discounts this holiday season, including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, B&H, JBL, and more. (You should also keep your eyes peeled for deals on noise-cancelling headphones, TVs, and Nintendo Switches.)
B&H already has some crazy deals on Apple products live now, but in limited supply; snag a gold MacBook for just $799 if you don’t mind that it’s not the totally brand-spankin’-new 2021 model; get $50 off Apple TV 4K. Over at Amazon, grab already-live deals on headphones, speakers, and more.
The Best Black Friday Deals on Clothing and Footwear
If you didn’t leave the house last winter (same), you might not haven’t updated your winter wardrobe since [gasps] 2019. Not to worry: Black Friday is your chance to stock up on cold-weather essentials or give them to a loved one who’s in desperate need of some gentle nudging toward dressing like a Hip Person. The cool lunch table will all be having massive Black Friday deals, including ASOS, SSENSE, Mr. Porter, Shopbop, and Uniqlo; and our favorite stalwarts will be represented as well, such as Nike, Adidas, Gap, and more.
So what else is live now?
Huckberry has launched its “Undercover Sale,” a sneaky pre-Black Friday blowout on some of the outdoorsy retailer’s top products, including apparel, shoes, watches, travel and camping goods, and everyday carry. What we’d recommend grabbing: this perfect puffer by The Arrivals, a lighter/firestarter in one by Looft, and the sexiest fancy hand soap we’ve seen in a while.
If you’re into classic prep wear, J.Crew is currently offering up to 50% off “party-ready” styles for men and women, plus women’s coats and jackets, with more deals to come. Looking at their sale section, we kinda feel like they’re ready to make a cool-kid comeback like Abercrombie.
Nordstrom’s Black Friday deals are live now, with mega slashed-down prices on designer clothing, shoes, homewares, beauty products, and anything else one might find at a big, fancy department store. Bonus: They carry tons of big brands, including Madewell, Levi’s, Ugg, Ray-Ban, and more. Grab a 70s-inspired Levi’s bomber jacket for 80 bucks off, or stuff a stocking with some Wayfarers.
Athleisure favorite Outdoor Voices has launched its pre-Black Friday sale, with 50% off some of its most popular styles, including sweats, leggings, and more. It’s the perfect time to grab a gift for the oat-milk-latte-drinking Pilates addict in your life.
The Best Black Friday Deals on Cookware and Food
Good news if you’ve been holding out on getting a new set of bakeware or splurging on a fancy stand mixer: the deals are white-hot this year. Sites like Sur La Table, Wayfair, Nordstrom, Williams Sonoma, and Home Depot are all having mega sales this year, and some have already launched. Plus, all those cute-AF direct-to-consumer brands like Caraway and Our Place have deals going, too. Grab Caraway’s ~*~aesthetic~*~ cookware set for a hundred bones off right now:
And Our Place’s ultra-trendy Always Pan is already on sale for almost 50 bucks off:
Head over to Sur La Table’s sale section to grab already-live early Black Friday deals on Vitamix blenders, All-Clad pans, Le Creuset bakeware, Nespresso machines, and more. Is a Le Creuset pepper mill the most perfect gift for literally everyone (except boring people who don’t season their food, whom you wouldn’t want to be friends with anyway)? Yes.
The Best Black Friday Deals on Beauty and Skincare
Looking to splurge on some dope beauty products without dropping, say, hundreds of dollars on face masks that make you look like an old person while they obliterate your dark spots? (Yes, we’re serious.) Well, you’ve come to the right place. Top name retailers including Nordstrom, Sephora, Dermstore, Ulta, and Glossier will all be having big time Black Friday sales. Stay tuned for our favorite deals on cult-fave brands, serums, gift sets, and more.
The Best Early Black Friday Deals on Home Goods, Mattresses, and Bedding
Days are shorter, nights are longer, and temperatures are quickly dropping—we all want to snuggle up in some lush bedding on a brand new mattress, and Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the days to splurge on beds, comforters, duvets, sheets, pillows, and everything in-between. Plus, some of our favorite retailers are helping you ball out early this season.
Brooklyn Bedding is offering 25% off sitewide until November 28, Boll and Branch is offering 20% off with promo code HOLIDAY, Saatva is having a “Beat the Rush!” sale with 10% off sitewide and 15% off on orders over $2,750, and Avocado is practically giving away money, with deals on tons of products including mattresses, bed frames, bath collections, and more. (Our favorite Avocado deal: $300 off the Organic Luxury Plush Mattress with code BFBLISS.)
What’s live now?
Buffy is already offering 20% off everything, through November 30, with the promo code DREAMDEAL, including the brand’s super-soft, cult-fave comforters, pillows, and sheets.
HAY, which makes the dreamiest home goods for design freaks, has launched its sale offering 15% off everything on site; no code needed. Our current obsession: the Matin Lamp, which is marked down by almost 40 bucks right now. We love its pleated shade and warm light, and with its integrated LED system, you’re getting 25,000 hours of use without replacing any bulbs. Another top pick: one of the brand’s popular mid-century modern office chairs.
Over at Nordstrom’s Black Friday sale, almost 23,000 items are on sale, so if you’re looking for gifts, you’ve got options—including the freakishly soft blankets from Barefoot Dreams, Theragun products, and Five Two by Food52’s awesome kitchen gear.
The Best Black Friday Deals at Amazon
The massive e-retailer (and likely future sovereign nation) has finally released its list of early Black Friday deals—and boy, is it a doozy. The full list is wayyy too long to include here, but let’s just say that if you’re down to fund Bezos’s next trip into orbit, you’ll be able to do so at a fraction of the price you normally would. Many deals are already liiiiive, so you can start saving big bucks right this second. There are deals on all categories, but you’ll definitely see huge savings on electronics, like this top-rated Brother sewing machine, 126-can glass-door NewAir home cooler, and these Sony noise-canceling earbuds.
VICE reader favorites like KitchenAid cookware, pet-hair-destroying Roombas, and LifeStraws (personal water filters for camping or post-apocalyptic survivalism—your pick!) are also heavily marked down.
More big-time savings are coming on top brands such as Apple, Shark, L’Oreal Paris, Bose, and many, many more. You’ll have to act fast, though, since these deals—including the Echo Dot and the Instant Pot Duo, which are 44% and 25% off, respectively—won’t last long.
Best Buy’s Early Black Friday Deals
If you’re new to Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, allow us to loop you in: It’s the absolute best time to shop for deals on tech and electronics. Best Buy—the slinger of pretty much everything your inner gamer, viewer, and web-surfer could ask for—is having a crazy-good early Black Friday Prices Guaranteed promotion. “When you are signed in and purchase an item marked ‘Black Friday Prices Guaranteed,’” the website reads, “and its price goes lower than your purchase price prior to Nov. 26, 2021, you will automatically receive a refund for the difference.” This is your sign to get crankin’ on all of the company’s discounted tech, including the heavily marked-down Apple AirPods Max ($70 off) and Lenovo Yoga Touchscreen Laptop ($400 off).
Plus, at Best Buy, Black Friday starts a week early, on Friday, November 19. Wanna save a thousand bucks on a huge, gorgeous, super-HD Samsung TV? Grab one now before they sell out.
The Best Early Black Friday Deals at Walmart
Did you know that the world’s largest retailer is from Arkansas? You may have heard of it; it’s a little brand called Walmart. This year, the company is having early Black Friday deals and sales on pet products, vacuums, electronics, home improvement gear, health and beauty goods, gaming consoles, and much more. Get in while the getting’s good, and treat yourself to some majorly marked-down goodies, such as a Kamado Joe backyard charcoal grill that’s over $100 off.
May the shopping gods smile upon you this holiday szn. [Lights discounted incense.]
